Imaging Spectrometer
The Caltech imaging spectrometer system (also called a hyperspectral imager) consists of a quad-core processor and two sensors (f/2.5 aperture vertical slit cameras) co-boresighted on an optical bench. The system was custom-built by Headwall Photonics, Inc. and is field-portable.

Point Spectrometer and Custom Goniometer
The ASD Fieldspec 3 acquires reflectance measurements of sample surfaces from 0.35 to 2.5 μm with spectral resolutions of 3 nm at 0.7 μm and 10 nm at 1.4 and 2.1 μm. The instrument is fully field portable.

A Thermo Scientific Nicolet iS50 FT-IR Spectrometer with a CsI beam splitter acquires spectral measurements from 6400 to 200 cm-1.

Controlled Atmosphere Environment Chamber
This glovebox accomodates sample preparation materials as well as the ASD spectrometer and goniometer for analyses under controlled atmospheric conditions. It can accomodate any inert gas and can achieve anaerobic conditions.
